ZamBasi is an online booking platform that connects passengers with independent bus operators in Zambia. ZamBasi is not a bus operator and does not own, drive, or run any bus. The actual transport service is provided by the bus operator you choose when you book a ticket.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions are an agreement between you and ZamBasi. By using our website, creating an account, or booking a ticket, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use ZamBasi.
2. Who we are
ZamBasi is an online booking platform that connects passengers with independent bus operators in Zambia. ZamBasi is not a bus operator and does not own, drive, or run any bus. The actual transport service is provided by the bus operator you choose when you book a ticket.
ZamBasi is based in Zambia and our services are meant for use in Zambia.
3. Your account
You must give us true and correct information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your password safe.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Younger passengers may travel, but an adult must book on their behalf.
You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Please tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
4. How bookings work
When you book a ticket, you are entering an agreement with the bus operator, not with ZamBasi. ZamBasi only helps you find, book, and manage the ticket.
A booking is only confirmed after you receive a booking number and ticket from us.
The operator sets the price, the schedule, the route, the seat layout, and the rules for changes, cancellations and refunds.
5. Your responsibilities as a passenger
- Arrive at the boarding point on time.
- Bring a valid ID and your ticket (printed or on your phone).
- Follow the operator's rules for luggage, behaviour, and safety.
- Do not carry illegal items or anything that is not allowed on public transport in Zambia.
6. The operator's responsibilities
The bus operator is responsible for the bus, the driver, the crew, road safety, insurance, and getting you to your destination.
If your trip is delayed, cancelled, or changed by the operator, the operator is responsible for helping you. ZamBasi will do its best to support you.
7. Our responsibilities
ZamBasi will do its best to keep the platform working, show correct information from operators, and process your bookings and payments securely.
We do not promise that the website will always be available without any interruption. Sometimes we need to do maintenance or fix problems.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. If we make a big change, we will let you know.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zambia. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Zambia.
10. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, please use the Support page after signing in.
